Mumbai's monsoon has a way of changing everything. The city gets greener, the chai gets better, and at Ting, the briefs get a little more exciting. Rainy days have their own rhythm here, with cooler mornings, longer conversations, chai runs and a creative energy that seems to arrive with the clouds.

Weathering the Summer

Every year, Mumbai reaches a BOILING point.
The heat lingers longer than anyone wants it to.
Every walk to Faredoon's or any of the other 10 coffee places in the area somehow ends with the same conversation.
"It has to rain today."
We glance out the windows more often than we'd like to admit, convincing ourselves we're definitely not waiting for the clouds to finally give in.
And then, one morning, they do.
The trees are greener.
The roads glisten.
Raindrops race down the windows, turning the view outside into a blur.
The air is cooler.
People arrive at the office with damp sleeves, dripping umbrellas and stories about getting caught in the downpour before 10 a.m.

The Season's First Creative Brief

At an advertising agency, monsoon isn't just something you experience. It's something you create for.
One day you're talking about rainy-day cravings and comfort food.
The next you're building campaigns around cosy weekends, warm cups of coffee and everything that makes people fall in love with this season.

Before you know it, the festive briefs start rolling in, and suddenly you're thinking about celebrations, traditions and everything that comes after the rain.
The calendar moves with the weather, and so do we.

A Little More Chai, A Little Less Rush

And somehow, it doesn't just change the work. It changes the pace of the office, too.
Chai breaks stretch just a little longer.
The conversations continue well after the meeting ends.
And there's always someone standing by the window for "just a minute" before heading back to their desk.

The rain has a funny way of slowing everyone down, without ever slowing the work down.  They're small moments, the kind you don't notice while they're happening, but somehow end up remembering long after the skies have cleared.

A Love Letter to the Rain

People romanticise Mumbai's monsoon for the sea, the skyline and the cutting chai, but we'll always romanticise it for something else too.
For the first rainy morning that broke the summer heat.
For the campaigns that could only have been made this time of year.
For the conversations over chai that somehow became creative ideas.
And for the season that reminds us why we love creating in a city that's constantly changing.
Mumbai gives us the rain.
At Ting, we get to turn it into stories.

Like our work? Give us a little ting.
