Turning faith into collective action

Question
How do you drive meaningful donations for a sacred cause in a trust-driven, faith-first category?
Answer
By combining brand awareness, influencer trust-building, precise audience segmentation, and seasonal campaigns to convert digital reach into real donations across Google and Meta.
ISKCON Govardhan Ecovillage is a spiritual community and temple project nestled in the Sahyadri mountains of Palghar District, Maharashtra. The project encompasses temple construction, cow protection (Gauseva), food donation (Annadaan), and seva programmes that connect devotees with the divine. The brand needed a performance marketing strategy that could build trust at scale and convert spiritually-inclined audiences into active donors.
When we took over in April 2025, we built the campaign architecture from the ground up — starting with awareness to introduce the temple project, followed by remarketing, influencer content, audience segmentation, and high-impact seasonal campaigns around Janmashtami, Pitrupaksh, and Karthik Maas. The result: consistent donations across multiple seva categories and a seasonal ROAS of 2.92X.
Right audience. Right occasion. Right strategy.
Inspiring donations in a trust-first space
Generating online donations for a temple construction project requires more than visibility — it demands trust, relevance, and timing. In a category where donors need to feel spiritually connected before parting with money, generic advertising falls flat. The challenge was to build credibility for a relatively new project, reach the right faith-aligned audiences, and convert that awareness into meaningful, recurring donations across multiple seva categories.
From awareness to offerings, one audience at a time
We built a multi-layered campaign architecture across Meta and Google. The foundation was awareness — introducing the Govardhan Ecovillage temple project and its seva categories to spiritually inclined audiences across India. Remarketing campaigns re-engaged warm audiences, while influencer-led video content built the trust needed to convert. Precision audience buckets—birthday donors, traders, businesspeople, spiritual seekers, and database lookalikes—helped direct media spend towards the most donation-ready segment.
Built on faith, scaled with data
Ran awareness campaigns on Meta and Google to introduce the temple to spiritually aligned audiences. Warm audiences were retargeted with conversion creatives, moving donors from initial interest to active giving — building a reliable full-funnel that sustained donations consistently month on month.
Built dedicated buckets for relevance: birthday donors targeted with personal giving messages, traders reached with prosperity-aligned seva communication, spiritual seekers engaged via devotion-led creatives, and previous donor databases used to create high-converting lookalike audiences at scale.
Capitalised on high-intent occasions with campaign bursts aligned to the devotional calendar. Janmashtami delivered 2.65X ROAS. Pitrupaksh generated 1.25X ROAS in 15 days. Karthik Maas generated 2.92X ROAS — proving seasonal alignment maximises donation returns significantly.
