Chennaiyin FC, a two-time Indian Super League champion, is more than just a football club — it’s a cultural icon for the city and a pride of Tamil Nadu. With a passionate fan base known as the “Supermachans,” the club stands for grit, glory, and an undying love for the beautiful game.

 

Objective

To take the roar of the Marina Arena beyond its borders. The goal was simple but ambitious: deepen fan engagement, expand the club’s presence beyond Chennai and Tamil Nadu, and craft content that spoke to die-hard fans and casual followers alike.

 

Social Media

We turned social media into the club’s second stadium. From interactive contests and bilingual content in Tamil and English, to influencer tie-ups and scroll-stopping visuals, every post was designed to spark conversations, rally fans, and carry the Chennaiyin spirit across India and beyond.

Outcome

  • Engagement shot up across platforms — more likes, shares, and comments than ever before.
  • A strong year-on-year surge in followers on Instagram and Twitter. 
    Fresh sponsorships and partnerships flowed in, fuelled by stronger digital visibility.
  • Fans showed their love offline too, with merchandise sales and match-day attendance both climbing steadily.
